The E20 Chronicles: A New Book About EastEnders to Benefit Children In Need by Deborah Gilbert
In the last two years we have published 2 issues of The E20 Chronicles magazine to help support EastEnders on PBS in the US, and it has been very successful. While we are always happy to support the great work of PBS, we thought we’d also like to support a children’s charity as well, and so we are!
Announcing the E20 Chronicles Book to benefit Children In Need!
This is an 80 page soft-cover book, full of fabulous interviews with EastEnders actors, writers (and even a producer) and it is now available on-line, and all of the profits go to the BBC’s Children In Need telethon. It is available in both the US & the UK.

It’s a fun read for a great cause: All of the interviews are EXCLUSIVE to the E20 Chronicles, and not available anywhere else. After I interviewed the actors, I transcribed the tapes with as little editing as possible so that the personalities of the actors really come through. And we were lucky to get some of EastEnders biggest icons including June Brown, Barbara Windsor, Shane Richie, Leslie Grantham, Pam St. Clement, Patsy Palmer, Martine McCutcheon, Sid Owen, and more. When creating the E20 Chronicles magazines for PBS, everyone on the EastEnders cast and crew that I encountered was so nice, that I thought it would be a nice way to say thank you, for their support of PBS, by raising funds for Children In Need, a terrific organization that EastEnders supports. That is why this book was created. We hope you’ll all support Children In Need by buying this book. But it’s not just a good deed – you’ll also be getting a great, unique EastEnders book! We’ve gotten great feedback from EastEnders for the E20 Chronicles, including from a producer who said he learned things he didn’t know! This book project was created with the cooperation of the BBC, Children In Need and the EastEnders cast and crew.
