Produced by the New York-based Origin Theatre Company, Origin’s 1st Irish is the city’s only all-Irish theatre festival. The sixth annual edition, running through September 29, features plays and productions in a stimulating array of styles, by contemporary Irish playwrights from Belfast, Dublin, Boston and New York. Six world premieres and two American premieres will bepresented at venues across the city.  In addition to numerous special events — concerts, screenings, readings, parties, etc. — 8 theatre productions will be seen in competition. At the Festival’s Closing Night Awards Ceremony on Monday September 30 the festival’s prestigious jury prizes and Audience Awards will be handed out.
